| Bareboat Combined |
A five-day liveaboard course
offering Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Certification.
This mini-vacation is for students who have completed
Basic Keelboat (or have significant small boat experience)
and desire to achieve a high level of competence and self-sufficiency.
The emphasis is on learning while having fun in a week-long
course voyaging through the Florida Keys.
Ideal for couples who aspire to the cruising lifestyle,
while covering the full course agenda for Basic Coastal
Cruising and Bareboat Certification, special emphasis
is put on the “big three” areas that charter
companies look for when you book; |
- Anchoring-securely for overnight, taking into account
all factors including weather changes
- Maneuvering under power in a confined area-your
first test when taking the helm of your charter boat
- Navigation-knowing precisely where you are at all
times, and how to get to your destination; how to
manage in restricted visibility making maximum use
of all available data
|
| During this highly-recommended course,
you will learn to relate the ecology and topographical
features of the area to your itinerary, and have fun studying
the night sky from secluded, protected anchorages. |
